Last night I went to the knitting store to sign up for a class. The park is right up next to it and they were having the Memorial Service. It moved me so to see the firemen and how the service was affecting them.
I love that photograph of yours, pearl. I watched the 9-11 Today show on MSNBC on the anniversary.
I had not seen ALL of the footage of that sad day because i didn't find out until after the second plane hit. So in watching the recap from the beginning of the Today show footage, i was struck by how Katie Couric and Matt Lauer remained so calm in their reporting and how they handled what was unfolding before their eyes and having to tell us all about it which for them must have been so surreal and scary for them too.
It stills seems surreal watching it 7 years later.
